If one of your subscribers has opted out of your TapOnIt Text List but now wants to rejoin, here’s exactly how they can get back on your list.
🛠️ Steps to Rejoin
1. Text STOP to your number
Even if they’ve already opted out, have the subscriber send STOP again to your dedicated toll-free number (TFN) or short code. This ensures they are completely removed from the system and clears any conflicting status.
2. Wait a few seconds
After sending STOP, wait about 5–10 seconds before sending the next message. This brief pause allows the carrier systems to update their opt-out status.
3. Text START or UNSTOP
Next, the subscriber must text START or UNSTOP to your TFN or short code. This action reactivates their ability to receive messages.
4. Send your opt-in keyword
Finally, they should send your unique opt-in keyword to re-enter the welcome flow and begin receiving messages again.

Each keyword must be sent as a separate message.
Sending multiple commands in a single message (e.g., "STOP START JOIN") will not work. -
Wait a few seconds between messages.
This helps prevent command conflicts and ensures each action is recognized properly.
