Campaigns are how you engage with your text club!
To create a campaign, click the “Create” button in the navigation bar on the left side of the screen. In the drop down menu, select “Campaigns”.
This page is where you can see all of your campaigns that have been sent, scheduled, and canceled. The page defaults to a list view, however you can select the calendar icon in the top left corner to view the campaigns in a calendar format.
You can also search and filter campaigns in this menu as well. The statistics at the top of the page show the number of campaigns sent in the last 30 days, their click through rates (CTR), and the unsubscribe rate. The statistics for each campaign can be found in the list view in the row with the corresponding campaign.
To create a campaign, click the button that says “Create Campaign” in the upper right hand corner. This will open the page where you are able to create a campaign.
The first step is to name your campaign. Every campaign must have a unique name. Our team recommends including the campaign date in the title to make it unique and easy to identify in case you export it! An example of a name would be “Valentine’s Day Sale 02/07/23”. Next you will select whether you want to send an SMS or an MMS. This article explains the difference between the two!
Next select your market that you wish to send to. You are able to send to more than one market if you so choose. If you are sending to a specific segment, you would choose which one you would like to send to under the tab “Segments” if this is part of your plan. You have the option to send a contact card as long as you are sending an MMS, however we recommend only sending it a couple times of year.
The message box automates with the default message that is set up in settings. You can edit this message and type whatever you would like subscribers to know here. Every message should begin with “Business Name:” to remain compliant and for top of mind awareness.
In this message, you have the option to include the first name of the subscriber by selecting the tag “first_name”. If you use this feature, we recommend including “hi” or “hey” prior to the tag to greet the subscriber. The tag will automatically link to the content hub if that is a part of your plan. If you wish to include a link to a site other than the content hub, you can add the “short_url” tag. After clicking the tag, a box will appear below prompting you to insert the link you wish to include. This link will then be included in the message.
If you are sending an MMS, you are able to add media and/or content by clicking the “Add Content” box. You are able to select up to 7 (for a TFN) or 9 (for a short code) pieces of media/content, however we recommend 3 pieces as a sweet spot. Once you have selected your media and/or content, click “Done”.
Want to see what your campaign with look like in a text, send yourself a preview! Click Send A Preview, add your mobile number, and click “Send Message”.
Once you are confident in your campaign, it’s time to schedule it! Select the “Save + Continue” button at the bottom of the page. This will trigger a pop-up asking you to confirm your campaign. After confirming everything looks correct, enter the date and time that you wish to send the campaign. If you want subscribers to receive the message in their local timezone, check the box “Use Subscriber’s Timezone” and pick the timezone of where you would like it to start sending from.
The last step is to click “Schedule”. After clicking this button, your campaign will be scheduled and will show up in the campaigns list. Congratulations!
