Growth Tools - Zip Code Capture
Shopify Back In Stock Notifications
Available in: Shopify > Create Automation
Never miss a sale because of out-of-stock items. With Back In Stock notifications, shoppers can now subscribe to get an alert when the product—or even a specific variant like size or color—is available again.
Key Features:
-
Variant-Level Sign-Ups – Customers can subscribe to the exact product variant they want.
-
Text Message Alerts – Send SMS/MMS notifications to bring shoppers back the moment inventory is replenished.
-
Flexible Opt-In Options – Choose whether sign-ups are only for “Back In Stock” alerts, or if shoppers should be fully opted into your text club.
How it works:
-
A customer visits a product page and sees an out-of-stock variant.
-
They click “Notify Me via SMS.”
-
They enter their phone number (and/or email) and receive a confirmation.
-
When the item is restocked, they automatically get a text message.
-
They click through and complete the purchase.
💡 This feature helps recover lost sales, builds loyalty, and gives you valuable insight into product demand—all managed right from your Shopify product page settings.

New Shopify Trigger Controls
Available in: Shopify > Triggers
We’ve expanded Shopify triggers so you have more control over when messages are sent.
-
Low Inventory & Price Drop
Now you can choose the exact inventory threshold or price drop point that triggers a message—so subscribers hear from you at the perfect time. -
Inclusion & Exclusion Rules
Decide who should or shouldn’t receive these messages based on past product interactions or purchases. For example, you can exclude subscribers who already bought the product within the last 30 days. -
Message Limits
Stay top-of-mind without overwhelming subscribers. Set limits for:-
How many times someone gets a specific trigger message.
-
How often they get messages about the same product.
-
A cooldown period between messages.
-
These updates give you fine-grained control to keep automations effective, relevant, and subscriber-friendly.
Smarter Integration Data
Available in: Segments > Integrations
We’ve upgraded how subscriber data flows from integrations into TapOnIt, making it easier to personalize your campaigns.
-
Subscriber Data Enrichment
Integration events (like loyalty activity) now tie directly to subscriber records. This means you can use fields like loyalty points, last visit, or member level across segments and flows. -
Integration Subscriber Fields
Integration-specific details (like “Favorite Store” or “Joined Loyalty Date”) are now available to use in targeting, branching, and message personalization. -
Dynamic Date Comparisons
When segmenting by a date field, you can now use “X days ago” instead of a fixed date. For example: “Subscribers who haven’t visited in 30+ days.” The segment updates automatically over time, so you only need to set it once. -
Clearer Segment Descriptions
As you build segments with integration fields, human-readable descriptions display under your selections, so it’s crystal clear who’s being included.
Punchh Integration
Available in: Segments > Integrations > Punchh
TapOnIt now integrates with Punchh, giving you the ability to connect loyalty and visit data directly to your text marketing campaigns. With Punchh data flowing into subscriber records, you can create highly targeted segments, personalized automations, and loyalty-driven messaging that ties directly to customer behavior.
You’ll be able to segment subscribers based on:
-
Profile Info: Birthday, gender, location (zip, city, state), time zone, and email subscription status.
-
Visits: Favorite store, last visit date, total visits, and order channels.
-
Loyalty: Member level, points balance, lifetime points, join date, loyalty status (active member or not), and sign-up channel.
This integration makes it easy to reach subscribers with the right offer at the right time—whether you’re rewarding loyalty members, re-engaging lapsed visitors, or personalizing campaigns with profile data.
📈 Growth Tools: Zip Code Capture
Available in: Sweepstakes & Landing Pages
You can now collect Zip Code as part of your sweepstakes or landing page forms. The zip code is automatically stored on each subscriber’s record—giving you another valuable field for segmentation and targeting.
